Halloween is almost here, and Highlands County is gearing up for a weekend full of candy, costumes, and community fun! Whether you’re going door-to-door or checking out one of the downtown celebrations, here’s everything you need to know for Sebring, Avon Park, and Lake Placid this spooky season.
Both Sebring and Avon Park will host door-to-door trick-or-treating on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Lake Placid will host trick-or-treating on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m (as poast of their Annual Block Party)
It’s the perfect night to grab your candy bags, show off your costumes, and explore your neighborhood before the big Halloween festivities on the 31st!

Friday, October 31, 2025 | 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Downtown Sebring will once again transform into a festive fall wonderland for Fall-O-Ween on the Circle!
Enjoy a night of family-friendly fun featuring:
Trunk or Treat stations around the Circle
Games, music, and activities for all ages
A Monster Mash and Costume Parade presented by Sevigny & Associates Eye Care
FREE Trick-or-Treat Bags at the Nucor Steel booth (in front of Signature Floors and Design Gallery)
3rd Annual Haunted Maze at the Circle Theatre
Presented by Haynes Pest Control, this year’s Haunted Maze is bigger than ever!
Lights On: 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (great for younger kids)
Lights Off: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (for the brave at heart)
Tickets required for maze entry.

Get ready, Avon Park! Main Street is transforming into a spook-fun Halloween destination you won’t want to miss. The City of Charm: Spooktacular on Main will feature:

A Scavenger Hunt through downtown
